Committees

While the Board sets the overall policy direction and budget for the Alliance, the work gets done in the Committees. The Bylaws provide for two named committees: the Executive Committee and the Nominating Committee. The Executive Committee consists of three board members who carry out Alliance business between board meetings. The Nominating Committee has the job of working to recruit dedicated and enthusiastic members of the community to serve as general board members or as named officers.

The Board of Directors identifies community projects and recruits volunteers to staff special committees. These committees of the Alliance at this time include:
